Social and emotional learning (SEL) is the process through which students understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, and develop and maintain positive relationships with peers and adults. This type of learning is based on the understanding that the best learning emerges in a supportive environment. Many believe that students would be more prepared to handle difficult emotions that happen in and outside of school if we focused more heavily
